Stephen Turban, a Harvard/McKinsey alum and one of the co-founders of Ladder Internships, a selective start-up internship program for talented high school students.  Ladder Internships is a selective start-up internship program for high school students, founded and run by Harvard graduate students. In the program, students work 1-1 with supervisors from top start-ups to work on real-world projects in a real start-up environment. Our companies and supervisors come from Y Combinator, Harvard iLabs, Wharton, Google, Microsoft, and McKinsey & Company.

 LUX Summer Institute for Youth Leadership program led by the Rev. Dr. John Huxtable that’s scheduled June 26-June 28 at Monmouth College.  This is a great opportunity for current sophomores and juniors. This is a FREE three-day summer college-like experience where students will have an immersive discernment experience, learn courageous leadership centered around social justice, explore their purpose, make new friends and have fun.  Our space is limited to 30 students and the deadline to register is June 1, 2023.

Pathways to Saluki Medicine - Pathways to Saluki Medicine is a medical based summer camp hosted by the Physiology Department at SIU school of medicine. It is a 5-day overnight camp forany high school student interested in the medical field or biomedical science. Premier Girls State brings together young women from the state of Illinois for a week-long program where they are provided training in city, county and state government. The participants have a chance to run for office, vote, campaign and write legislation for the organization. Guest speakers in the political arena and motivational speakers are invited to encourage young women to become more confident and provide them with a solid foundation of leadership and management as they transition into adult life.  https://www.alaigs.org/

American Legion Illinois Premier Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. It is a participatory program in which students learn by doing and become part of the operation of city, county, and state governments. Georgetown University’s Becoming a Surgeon: Skills, Specialties, and Diseases  - Students get a thorough introduction to the skills required to be a surgeon. They take a tour of the operating room and learn the makeup of an OR team. They’ll hear from specialists in the field: from abdominal surgeons to neuro, orthopedic, and plastic surgeons.
