Stephen Turban, a Harvard/McKinsey alum and one of the co-founders of Ladder Internships, a selective start-up internship program for talented high school students. Ladder Internships is a selective start-up internship program for high school students, founded and run by Harvard graduate students. In the program, students work 1-1 with supervisors from top start-ups to work on real-world projects in a real start-up environment. Our companies and supervisors come from Y Combinator, Harvard iLabs, Wharton, Google, Microsoft, and McKinsey & Company.

The Lumiere Research Scholar Program has mentors who are PhD scholars from top research universities such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Yale, Duke and LSE. Premier Girls State brings together young women from the state of Illinois for a week-long program where they are provided training in city, county and state government. The participants have a chance to run for office, vote, campaign and write legislation for the organization. Guest speakers in the political arena and motivational speakers are invited to encourage young women to become more confident and provide them with a solid foundation of leadership and management as they transition into adult life. Georgetown University’s Becoming a Surgeon: Skills, Specialties, and Diseases - Students get a thorough introduction to the skills required to be a surgeon. They take a tour of the operating room and learn the makeup of an OR team. They’ll hear from specialists in the field: from abdominal surgeons to neuro, orthopedic, and plastic surgeons.
