Spanish is an official language in 21 countries and is partly spoken as a mother tongue in 13 other countries.

Spain accepts the IB Diploma NOT the IB Certificates for university admission. 

1. If you would like to apply to a public Spanish university, you need to obtain your UNEDasiss accreditation first. 

2. Then you need to register for the Specific Competency Tests and write the exams. They help students increase their admission score by adding 10% for every PCE subject passed (minimum 5 points of 10), up to a maximum of 4 PCE. Students can improve their admission score for each Specific Competency Test they take, as universities can add up to 4 points to the initial admission score by applying specific formulae to the scores obtained in each test. Students can take up to 6 PCE subjects if they wish so, though taking four subjects is enough for university application. 

3. Finalise the application plan to understand your deadlines.

4. Submit the application well in advance of the deadline. The deadlines are published on the website of the university. 

5. Wait for your admission decision.
