Hungary is among the top tourist destinations in Europe with the capital Budapest regarded as one of the most beautiful cities worldwide. Despite its relatively small size, the country is home to numerous World Heritage Sites, UNESCO Biosphere Reserves, the second largest thermal lake in the world (Lake Hévíz), the largest lake in Central Europe (Lake Balaton), and the largest natural grassland in Europe (Hortobágy).

Hungary accepts the IB Diploma as entry to a bachelor degree programme without specific subject requirements.

Hungary accepts the IB Diploma NOT the IB Certificates for university admission. 

1. Admission to Hungarian higher education is organised by the educational institutions themselves. To be admitted to a higher education programme, you first need to contact the institution that offers the programme. They can inform you of exactly which admission requirements apply to the programme of your choice. 

2. Finalise the application plan to understand your deadlines.

3. Submit the application well in advance of the deadline. The deadlines are published on the website of the university. 

4. Wait for your admission decision. Usually, you will receive it via email.
