The higher education landscape in India has changed over the past 10 years. Private universities have opened all over the country and Ashoka University is just one of these to be named. With the new National Education Policy 2020 higher education India will open even further and world-renowned universities may open their campuses in India.
All of the universities listed below are (highly) selective and have multiple admission rounds every year. Most of them practise holistic admission which means that they will not only look at your grades (9th to 12th transcript will be sent to the universities), but also at your achievements, extra-curricular, standardised test results (SAT and/or their own aptitude test) and essays. Usually, they conduct interviews before they send out admission decisions.
