The theme of my AP Drawing portfolio series revolves around the concepts of "opening up" and "abandoning school attendance," exploring these topics both literally and figuratively. Through five out of fifteen art pieces, I delved into the emotional and societal implications of these themes. The act of "opening up" represents vulnerability, self-expression, and breaking free from constraints, while "abandoning school attendance" symbolizes rebellion, disillusionment, and a desire for alternative paths.

To sustain my investigation, I focused on how these themes intersect and impact individuals and society. My art pieces invite viewers to reflect on the ideas of self-discovery, freedom, and the consequences of stepping away from traditional norms. By using various artistic techniques and visual metaphors, I aimed to capture the essence of these concepts and encourage viewers to consider their own interpretations of "opening up" and "abandoning school attendance." Through this exploration, my series highlights the complexities and nuances of personal growth and societal expectations.
