In this assignment, I was given the element Fermium (Fm) and was asked to create a piece of art representing this element.  To develop ideas for my piece, I searched up what Fm is used for. Based on my research about Fermium, I decided to make my final piece based on the fact that Fermium is a used in explosive devices such as TNT.

One of the things I struggled with was how I glazed my art. The glaze colors were black and red but once they were put in the kiln they turned out gold and silver due to a chemical reaction In my piece, I demonstrated the principles of pattern, emphasis and shape. If I could change anything I would've made my art smoother.

In this assignment, I was asked to create a piece of art using the slab method. To develop ideas for my piece, I came up with the idea of remaking a album cover. Based on my research about the album TEENX by Ken Carson I decided the emphasize the letter X all around the slab. 

One of the things I struggled with was how detailed I made my art. The 2 "E's" weren't shown at all after I glazed my art. In my piece, I demonstrated the principles of pattern, emphasis and shape. If I could change anything I would've made my art more detailed.

Deeply Rooted was a tenth-grade project aimed at exploring how symbols reflect cultural differences and similarities. We researched global symbols and created our own using handmade paper and Borax crystals in Art class. I made a pentagram, combining a heart and a pentagram to symbolize the juxtaposition of softness and hardness. With the paper, I created a no smoking sign and a spiral of life, representing human development through life's seasons. Despite the challenge of bending the paper, I aimed to improve the size and color contrast for the PBL. Our work was showcased alongside performances representing diverse cultures.

School shootings, mental health and gun violence are present day conflicts that could potentially start a new war. This is because there are many occurrences of school shootings and gun violence and this shaped an environment that we do not feel safe in thus affecting our mental health.

In this assignment, I was given the element Lithium (Li) and was asked to create a piece of art representing this element.  To develop ideas for my piece, I made 3 different prototype sketches based on my research about lithium. I decided to make my final piece based on the fact that lithium is a used in antidepressant pills and it can be found in igneous rocks.

One of the things I struggled with was how small I made the triangles and coloring them in. In my piece, I demonstrated the principles of pattern, emphasis and shape. If I could change anything I would've made my drawing smoother.
