↓25-26 Track Season(12th Grade)↓
During Media Day, all the spring senior athletes came together and took individual photos for our senior banners in our jerseys for each sport!
↓24-25 Track Season(11th Grade)↓
↓Adidas Nationals↓
Running 11.03 at the State Championship opened up doors I never imagined. That time qualified me for Adidas Track Nationals at North Carolina A&T’s Truist Stadium, a place where only the best of the best from across the country get to compete. Just knowing I had earned a spot on that stage felt unreal. I thanked God for blessing me with that opportunity, because it was something I had dreamed about for a long time.
But when I finally got out there, things didn’t go the way I hoped. I let the moment get to me. I was nervous, the stage felt huge, and instead of locking in, I found myself trying to watch myself run on the giant screen above the track. My start wasn’t good, my focus wasn’t where it needed to be, and honestly, I made a fool of myself. It hurt, because I knew I was capable of so much more. Still, that experience taught me a lesson I’ll never forget. Never again will I let nerves or distractions take me out of my race.
Even with the disappointment, I’m still grateful. God allowed me to be part of a meet that most athletes never get the chance to experience. And on top of that, I ended up meeting Grant Holloway’s father, who later blessed me with adidas gear later in the year. Moments like that remind me how many people are rooting for me—my family, my supporters, and most importantly, God.
I’m thankful for every opportunity I’ve been given, even the ones that didn’t go perfectly. And I pray that before my high school career comes to an end, I get the chance to return to a nationals meet and redeem myself. I want to walk away knowing I gave everything I had and made the most of every stage I stepped on.
↓State Championship↓
Once again, I found myself back at the state meet, and just being there felt like a blessing. I was feeling great going into it, and I even managed to PR in the 100. Even though I came in last place in my heat and didn’t advance to the finals the next day, I still walked away with a sense of gratitude. God allowed me to make it to State not just in a relay, but in an individual event too, and that alone meant a lot to me.
Me and my relay squad actually qualified for Day 2 as well, but things didn’t go the way we hoped. Our 2nd and 4th legs were both hurt, and they couldn’t run at their best. With only two healthy legs left, we weren’t able to compete, and that ended our shot before we even stepped on the track. It definitely wasn’t how I expected or wanted State to go, but I was still thankful to be back in Commerce, Georgia, with another chance at chasing a state title.
As I look ahead to my senior year, I’m praying that God allows me to have the strength and opportunity to qualify again both individually and with my relay squad. I want to leave high school track behind, knowing I gave it everything I had. I want to be satisfied with the PRs I pray to attain this year and with the ones I've been able to get for the last 3-4 years. More than anything, I hope I’m able to go out with a bang and finish my senior season the way I’ve always imagined and go to college being able to run track at the school of my choice.
↓Sectionals↓
Sectionals genuinely felt like I was saved by God himself. Only the top eight runners make it to state, and somehow I ended up slipping into that last spot by the smallest margin. I came in 8th place in the 100m, literally getting saved by the bell, and that moment didn’t even feel real at first. I thought my season was over, my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest, I just knew I wouldn't be advancing on to state, but God said otherwise. On top of that, our 4x1 team managed to qualify, too. What makes it even crazier is that it was probably the worst race we’d run all season nothing about that race looked or felt good let alone decent. Nothing felt smooth, and we knew we weren’t at our best. But even on an off day, we still found a way to punch our ticket to state. That alone showed me how much fight and potential we really had.
↓Regionals↓
Regionals was definitely a meet to remember. Drew Charter really put on a show against every team that stepped on the track. All day long, it felt like we were proving exactly who we were and what we’d worked for. It was a two-day meet, and a bunch of our athletes made it through to the second day of competition, and several even punched their ticket to sectionals, which says a lot about the depth and drive of our squad.
By the end of the meet, we walked away as the Runner‑Up champions, and that alone made the whole experience feel even more special. Me and my teammates showed out in events all across the board such as the 100, 200, 400, 4x1, 4x8, and even Long Jump. Everywhere you looked, someone from Drew was competing, scoring, or stepping up when it mattered.
I’m genuinely proud of what we accomplished together. It wasn’t just about individual performances it was the way we supported each other, pushed each other, and represented our school with pride.
↓Stockbridge Tiger Relays↓
To the left is a video of me running 11 seconds flat in the 100‑meter dash for the very first time. Hitting that mark felt like a huge breakthrough for me. In that moment, I wasn’t just excited, but I felt genuinely accomplished, like all the work I’d been putting in was finally starting to show. Crossing the line, I could already tell that this wasn’t going to be my ceiling. I walked away from that race knowing, without a doubt, that I was capable of going even faster. I fully believed that at my next meet, I’d be dipping under 11 seconds, maybe even touching 10, and that confidence pushed me to keep chasing the next level.
↓Atlanta Track Classic-APS Championship↓
For the second year in a row, Drew came out as the fastest 4x1 team in Atlanta Public Schools, and the win felt unreal. Our squad showed up ready to defend what was ours, and crossing that line first proved everything we’d worked for. APS even gave us custom batons with every school’s name on them, which made the moment hit even harder. Above is the video of us bringing home the win, below is our medal photo, and around are shots from the meet showing how locked‑in we were all day.
↓Christian Coleman Invitational↓
In the relay, we got our get back and beat Westlake! We beat them at their home field which felt great to do, I wish we could've Pr'd but it was a slight head wind reducing everyone on the team to run at their full speed but. we were all very grateful to be coming back home with a win.
I got my spikes signed by both Sha'Carri and Christian
We won 1st place in our 4x1 relay at the invitational event!
↓Atlanta Games Invitational↓
Even though we ended up losing to Westlake in this race we still accomplished new things such as a new Pr and also a new School record as well!
I opened up my junior season with a 11.32, not what I wanted to open up with as it is not a new pr for myself but I won in my heat and Im ready to work even harder to set more personal records for myself in the future God has for me.
↓5th Annual Hillgrove Invitational↓
In my season opener of my junior year I plan to run sub 11 I pray to God I can accomplish this goal of mine.
↓23-24 Track Season(10th Grade)↓
At the start of my 10th grade season I had a goal set in mind to reach 10.9 seconds in the 100 meter dash it may seem like a big stretch going from my PR from last year(Freshman Year - 11.72) to a 10.9 but I knew I could do it. I wanted to start off at another number before 10.9 specifically going for 11.1 seconds so therefore once I was able to reach this time(11.1) I could think about running that 10.9. Unfortunately I did not reach that goal but something I did do was PR twice in the 100 meter going from my PR last year(11.72) to a 11.54 then to a 11.32 even though I hit 2 PR's in one this season running this time was not a fast enough time for me to make it to sectionals to run the 100 meter dash this year but all I can do is just go and put the work in for summer and the years coming I have for track. I will go sub 11 by this summer having a better PR when I get back to the school season.
All the medals I won from this season
Whew what a season. The time just flew by and now the season is officially over but its 100% safe to say that we are true state champions. I want to thank my teammates on 4x1 (Rashawn Khalil and Simeon), my family, my coaches (Coach Shannon, Coach Tate, Coach Renee, Mrs.Miller, and Coach Tracy) my friends, and especially God himself because without them I would not be where I am at currently. This is Drew's 2nd year in a row winning state in the 4x1 and I hope this hot streak continues for the rest of my Drew career and even after I graduate. I had a fantastic year with this team and while some of my goals were not accomplished this season, all I can do is keep believing and work even stronger and harder.
↓State Championship↓
Here is the video where me and my team won the 4x1 for state soon after being interviewed for getting the win.
To this day I still do not understand why my name is not listed under for this event.
↓Sectionals↓
Sectionals was just great even though it was a very far drive😂. We won 1st overall out of all teams in our region. It was top 8 in order to go to state and we showed up and showed out. Very proud of Rashawn, Khalil, Simeon and myself for qualifying to go to state. Now all thats left is to win 1st place for the state of Georgia. God willingly, we are able to do so none of this would happen without him and we all very much so thank him for letting not only us but everyone who made it to sectionals on our team make it to state. I'm very proud of my coaches, my team, and myself but the job is not done until we are able to win it all and take it home.
↓Westminster relays↓
3rd place medal for 4x1 we should have gotten 1st place in this race. Handoff's could've been better to make it to 1st place as the school who got 1st place did not even run our pr time(42.1) they went around 42.4 seconds but we still got a medal and were very grateful for it.
↓APS Championship↓
APS(Atlanta Public Schools) 4x1 Champs for the 23-24 season

↓22-23 Track Season(9th Grade)↓
During my 9th grade year with Drew and its Track and Field program I ran 4 events such as Jv 100, 200, 4x1 and Varsity 4x2. as my 100 meter time was 11.72 and my 200 time was 24.72 seconds.
Holding up #1 because on this day was the first time ever I got 1st place in my race not only in this event (the 100) but also the 200 as well both events I PR'd in on this same day
100: 11.72
200: 24.72
