Hello, I am Alexander Golubic, a high school student at Charles R. Drew Charter School, and, among other things, I am a musician, engineer, and athlete. I will be attending Georgia Tech majoring in Mechanical Engineering, studying with a minor in music as well. Musically, I spend much of my time delving into the rhythms, harmonies, and melodies of jazz, as well as the complex world found within classical works. Pursuing a career in an engineering field, I am passionate about finding new creative solutions to our worlds problems, no matter how big or small. I've also played soccer for over a decade, and have been part of Drew's Varsity Soccer team since my Freshmen Year. I started captaining the team as a Junior and currently, as a Senior, have brought the team the the playoff's where we will compete with the state final as our goal.
I strive to learn as much as I can about all that I am passionate about. I embrace the joy of learning when in the environment, no matter what intellectual interest of mine I choose to pursue in that moment, whether it's History, Philosophy, Music, Nutrition, or Writing.
With my college decision made, I intend to delve into my studies at Georgia Tech while maintaining everything else I care about socially and in music, athletics etc. More long term, I intend to find an internship in my field and eventually enter the work force knowing that I have been fully prepared for whatever may come my way.
