This was a tricky song to play. I played it to the class, but didn't get the recording. That's why you see me at my piano at home. Luckily, while preforming to the class, I didn't let the nerves get to me and I played it perfectly first try.
This is me playing my Christmas song, Carol of the Bells, to the class. I could play this piece perfectly on my own, but it took a couple of takes for me to do it without messing up. While I didn't feel too nervous, I definitely think it was performing to the class that made me mess up. Luckily, everyone was very supportive, and I played it with only one mistake. in the final take.
This was our final semester concert, where all the middle and high schoolers played piano in front of an audience. I think my three favorite parts were the robot battle where I was one of the drivers, My performance, and the performance of Morgan Walker. While you can't see the robot battle very well in the video, Morgan played his own original piece that really made everything more interesting. For my performance, I played Gymnopédie no.1 and Over the Rainbow, At first, I was nervous, but the battle came right before my performance, and driving one of the robots and having a little fun, got rid of any nervousness. Once I started playing, I found it exhilarating, and fun. I really had a great time and would love to play in front of people again. My friend Morgan Played the theme from "Glassworks." It was a very moving and pretty song that I really enjoyed.
Time stamps are 20:10, 23:50, and 40:30.
This was my performance at the spring concert. I performed Take Five by Dave Brubeck. Looking back on it while I didn't make any note mistakes, I was rushing the song a bit and some parts didn't have enough swing. However, all in all, the recital could have gone worse. It was and always is, nice to see everyone's improvement as well.
