This assignment had us making the word ChemVAS out of different pictures and things relating to Chemistry and Art.
For this project, my group researched the Halogens, and completed a chart to organized the information.
This was our PBL animation. I made it with my group in google slides. We drew everything by hand and did all the voice acting ourselves. This to the right is the final product that we now have to show for our work.
For this assignment we had to create a piece of art that includes a covalent bond. About a day before the assignment a local pie factory had an ammonia leak. We had to stay inside for the day while at my house, because we were so close to it. Because of that, I decided I should draw the factory leaking ammonia into the air.
For our art project I made 3D model of a molecule on Tinker CAD, and then incorporated it into a piece of art. I chose H2O as my molecule and put it on the hull of the sail boat. A principal of design that I used was proportion. I made the boat bigger than the island because it is closer. Architects use digital art and 3D modeling all the time while drawing up designs for structures.
This was the group PBL project I made with Morgan Walker, Isaiah Rashid, and, Zeke Ravenscraft. We took current conflicts such as the War in Ukraine and Climate change and painted them onto a section of Pablo Picasso's Guernica painting. Our painting depicts Russia pushing the UN aside as they threaten Ukraine with a gun with NATO also just watching over the shoulder of the UN. Meanwhile, this distracts them from other problems happening around them such as climate change, shown by the factories pumping out greenhouse gasses, melting glaciers, and fires all around them.
