Architectural Historian Internship

Overview

From August 2021 to April 2022, I worked as an Architectural Historian Intern at Trileaf Corporation under my mentor, Collins Anderson (her title is an Architectural Historian). I worked on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:30 to 4pm.

Since Charles R. Drew Charter School is a STEAM based school—meaning the school focuses on science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics—students routinely participate in what is known as STEAM Day. It is a day where established career professionals come to present to Drew's students on their career, how they got there, and what they are currently doing with it.

As part of the internship class (a class that was only able to be created through the students' personal initiative), we were tasked with presenting to students for the 2021 STEAM Day year. My partner and I presented to 4th, 5th, and 7th grade across 2 days.
