This is the first benchmark in finalizing the kinetic sculpture with the materials that we will use for the final sculpture. I installed two servos in the middle acrylic sheet with two screws holding them in place each.
These are my moires that were cut from plywood by using the Glowforge.
I installed my eight LEDs and soldered them in place. I coded them so that they go RGB.
I installed my arduino in between my two servos. A hole was drilled before a screw was placed in the holes of the arduino.
My moires are moving independently of each other at different speeds and directions. They were placed on the same rotating axis but only one moire was bonded to it. They are doing three distinct patterns of rotation as well.
I successfully installed my three layers of acrylics to my moire kinetic sculpture. The foggy acrylic is located in the front while the clear acrylic is in the back.
I repeated a series of three light patterns in my code that go from blinking red to orange, fading purple to blue, and blinking different shades of blue.
