Food For Thought Presentation Slides & Recipe Cards

For this project my class and I were put in groups to make a meal. My group consisted of Derek Thompson, Fiero Simpson, Ethan Edwards, and Grant Packwood. Each group member was assigned an ingredient that represented them and their culture. The meal we made was called the "Jammin Jerk Pizza" and the ingredients used for our meal consists of tomato sauce, cheese, meatballs, and jerk seasoned chicken. My mom is from New York and New York is known for pizza, so it made sense for me to bring in pizzas main ingredients, cheese and tomato sauce.

Guernica: Conflict PSA (Public Service Announcement)

For this project I was in a group with Derek Thompson, Grant Packwood, Fiero Simpson, and Ethan Edwards. We created a 1-minute video on income inequality. I sadly missed the day that we filmed but I was able to get in a clip of me a bit later.

Directions: Use the attached template to outline a PSA for a conflict chosen by you and your group members. The PSA should be 30 sec to 1 min long and include pictures and voiceover and/or video. Each student in the group must have a speaking role.

Shaping Our World: The Downfall of Cleopatra Short Film

For this project we were assigned groups to film a movie. My group was Fiero Simpson, Marisol Atencio, Titus Smith, and Ceniya Hilton. Our movie took place in Egypt, and it was called The Downfall of Cleopatra. My character was Caesar. And I was also the editor. This movie took a couple of weeks to plan and a couple of weeks to film. I think we did a great job with it, and I had a great time making it. It felt like we were making an actual movie because we had real camera gear. And I think that the costumes really brought the characters to life. The overall experience was nice, and I hope to do something similar again sometime.
