Snow Removal Guidelines

During a city wide snow fall between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., Security Dispatch will monitor snow fall and notify the Grounds Manager when the snow depth reaches 2 inches.

Upon notification, Grounds staff will commence with removal protocols. Operations is responsible for the clearing of snow and ice on all non-perimeter sidewalks and steps, as well as perimeter walks inaccessible by a plow truck. The Maintenance Department will plow all of DPS facilities for removal of snow and ice mitigation on parking lots, playgrounds and perimeters (walkways around the building but not leading to the building or fields/play areas) sidewalks.
