Happy New Year North Salem Families!
We welcomed our students back from our holiday break on Tuesday, January 3. It was wonderful to see our students return to school. Many students expressed their excitement to be back, while others longed for the mornings they could stay in bed a bit longer. Students were eager to share about their break.
We now head into an important time of learning. You will notice that the end of the second marking period is scheduled for Wednesday, January 18. This marks the mid-point of the school year. Teachers will be collecting a variety of mid-year data points to identify areas of growth as well as identify areas of need. Much learning will occur over the last 100 days of the school year. As always, the staff at NSE appreciates the partnership with each of our students' families as we strive to create a safe, welcoming and purposeful learning environment for our students.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at any time.

NSE's PROUD Council hosted their Holiday Event on Saturday, December 17 to close out their canned food drive.
The PROUD Council exceeded their goal of 800 food items by collecting over 1000 items!
Even the Grinch was made happy by all the support NSE was able to offer our community.
