Hello NSE Families!
I hope this month's NSE Newsletter finds you all well. As we enter the final marking period of the 2022-2023 school year, we have many current and upcoming events, such as field trips, Unger Day (field day), PTO Fun Day, concerts, PROUD reward days, as well as end of year classroom events and activities. Several of our grade levels have already experienced their field trips thanks to the financial support of our PTO. Our fifth grade students had a visit from some of the staff and students from Dover Middle School on April 4 to begin talking about what school is like in the middle school. Kindergarten students were visited by Dover's FFA and their chicks on April 3. It is a busy time.
If you have been around the school over the last several weeks you will notice some scaffolding around the building. This is the beginning of a roofing project that will last through August. Currently, metal sheeting is going up around the upper portion of the building with roofing work scheduled to begin in May. The project is expected to be completed by the start of next school year.
Parents of students in grades 3, 4, and 5, please take a moment to read the PSSA section of this newsletter. The PSSAs are state and federally mandated assessments that we are required to give each school year. If you have any questions in regards to this requirement, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please take care and be well!
