Adding Text to a Google Site

This section is to show you how to add text to a Google Site and the options you have regarding that text

Adding Text method 1

There are two different ways to add text to a Google Site, both are really straight forward. the first method is to double left click in any blank white space on the site. You would then have a little circle pop up that looks like the screenshot next to this text. From here left click on the 'Text' in the middle of the circle and you will be able to begin typing.

Adding Text Method 2

The second way to add text to a Google Site is to use the menu on the right hand side of the page. Making sure that the 'Insert' tab is selected at the top, you should see 'Text box' as an option. Left click this and a text box will appear on the site allowing you to type what you need to.

The Different Text Options

When creating text within Google Sites you have multiple different options to customise your text. While you may not be able to specifically change the font and text size you can change the style which in turn changes the font and size. When creating text you should see a bar above the text box which various different options. This includes:

  • Text Styles
  • Bold
  • Italic
  • Alignment
  • Numbered List
  • Bulleted List
  • Insert Link
  • Delete Tile
  • More Editing Options
