Recently integrated into brightspace at TU Dublin, OneNote Class Notebooks - part of Microsoft Office - allow you to create personal and group workspaces for every student in your class-list. These workspaces allow lecturers to easily distribute course materials to students, such as handouts, worksheets, and assignments, through digital 'notebooks' that can incorporate a range of media including text, hand-drawn notes, images, audio and video recordings, online video, file attachments, tables, links, equations, interactive forms, whiteboards and much more. Onenote Class Notebooks are built using Microsoft's OneNote digital notetaking app.

- Content libraries: where lecturers push or 'distribute' course materials and worksheets to their students
- Student notebooks: private spaces where students can work on lecturer-provided materials and prepare and organise their own notes
- Collaboration spaces: where lecturers and students can work together on the same materials and notebooks
- Teacher-only sections: where you can keep materials private to yourself and other lecturers on your module

OneDrive Class Notebooks sync with your brightspace module classlist, allowing you to distribute, review and evaluate flexible, media-rich and interactive content to every learner enrolled in your class. After integrating OneNote Class Notebooks into your brightspace module* you can get started by accessing your module content area, selecting 'existing activities' (1) and 'external learning tools' and choosing 'OneNote Class Notebook' from the 'add activity' list. A link to OneNote will now appear in your content area (2).

One of the key benefits of Class Notebooks for lecturers comes from the ease with which you can create content - including interactive worksheets - and instantly distribute these to every learner in a module (and across modules). This work can also be evaluated within OneNote, where lecturers can provide direct feedback to learners.
