A strong transformation plan unifies the vision for technology integration and device maintenance with the school improvement plan or goals for the year.
We derived our student-centered goals and action steps by analyzing our school state data on End of Course State Assessments, National Assessments such as AP Scores, SAT and ACT, and through teacher, student and parent Climate Surveys.
Our Curriculum Council Team, made of up department chairs, Curriculum Coaches and Directors help to select the specific SIP Goals, write the narrative and carry out the Action Plan. Our EESAC (Educational Excellence School Advisory Council) made up of Parents, Students, Faculty, and Community Partners reviewed and approved of the plan and then review it monthly during our monthly EESAC Meeting.
During EESAC our meetings the actions steps are reviewed and our remediation efforts including after school tutoring, pull-out tutoring, data chats, curriculum review and parent/student conferences. We have not modified our plan and are currently implementing diagnostic assessments to monitor our progress.
As part of the Transformation infuse in our school since we started working as a VILS School, we are proud to announce that Mater Academy Charter High and Mater Performing Arts Academy, won the 2021 AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award.
This honor recognizes the outstanding work your school is doing to engage more female students in computer science.
During classroom walkthroughs Administrators see the the use of devices on a regular basis and are able to monitor the effective use of educational technology. The campus leadership team collaborates with department chairs, academic coaches, grade level team leaders and administrators to meet our goals with the assistance and collaboration of our district leadership team.
At the district level, coordination of device usage, best practices, tracking and monitoring and facilitation is coordinated by Administration at the school and district level.
