Guidance and Counseling

At Haluban National High School, the Guidance and Counseling Office plays a vital role in helping students achieve academic success, develop positive behavior, and make informed life and career decisions.

We are here to support every learner—not just with school matters, but also with personal growth, emotional well-being, and future planning.

What is Guidance and Counseling?

Guidance and Counseling is a school-based service that helps students:

• Understand themselves better

• Cope with school and life challenges

• Make good decisions

• Stay mentally and emotionally healthy

• Plan their future career paths
  
  

It is confidential, respectful, and always student-centered.

Services Offered:

1. Individual Counseling
   One-on-one sessions to talk about personal, academic, or emotional concerns.

2. Group Counseling
   Small group sessions for students with similar needs (e.g., adjusting to high school, dealing with peer pressure, managing stress).

3. Academic Guidance
   Helping students set goals, develop study habits, and manage school requirements.

4. Behavioral Support
   Interventions and support for students who may have discipline or emotional concerns.

5. Referral Services
   For cases that need specialized help, we refer to professionals or partner agencies.

6. Parent Consultation
   We also work with parents to support their child’s development and well-being.

Career Guidance Program

Our Career Guidance Program prepares learners to make wise choices about their future—whether it’s the Senior High School track, college courses, or a chosen career path.

We offer:

• Career Orientation Seminars

• Interest and Aptitude Assessments

• Job and College Readiness Sessions

• SHS Track and Strand Advising

• Career Week Activities with guest speakers, alumni, and industry partners
