Teaching and Learning Programs
At Haluban National High School, we are deeply committed to providing inclusive, responsive, and effective learning opportunities for every student. Our Teaching and Learning Programs are designed to support learners at all levels—strengthening foundational skills, bridging learning gaps, and nurturing a love for learning.
One of our key initiatives is the Department of Education’s ARAL Program (Academic Recovery and Acceleration for Learning), which provides focused intervention in essential learning areas:
ARAL Reading – Enhancing literacy, reading comprehension, and vocabulary for struggling readers
ARAL Math – Strengthening basic numeracy skills, problem-solving, and mathematical understanding
These interventions are specially crafted to help students who are performing below grade level, ensuring they receive the support they need to catch up and thrive.
In addition to ARAL, we also implement:
Remedial and Intervention Classes
Reading and Numeracy Enrichment Activities
Peer Tutoring and Learning Support Groups
Through these programs, we aim to ensure that no learner is left behind, and that every student is given the tools, time, and guidance needed to succeed. Together, let’s foster a learning environment where every child has the chance to grow, improve, and excel.
