TUGUEGARAO NORTH CENTRAL SCHOOL (Official Website)
Caritan's Humble Beginnings:
Nestled in the municipality of Tuguegarao, Caritan initially lacked its own school. Children trekked long distances to attend Tuguegarao Central Elementary School in Ugac Sur. Recognizing the hardship this caused, the community rallied for a closer learning space.
Caritan Sur Community School Emerges:
Under the leadership of Governor Jose C. Carag, Caritan Sur Community School was established in 1955. The school's humble beginnings saw a two-room bamboo building constructed on land designated for its exclusive use (Resolution number 138, dated January 25, 1955).
Evolving Needs, Evolving Schools:
The Bureau of Education, recognizing the benefits of smaller, well-supervised districts, later designated Caritan Sur Community School as the central school of the newly formed North District. This marked the school's transformation into Tuguegarao North Central School.
