Documenting AT in Project Education
For the 2025-26 School Year, we are asking school teams to review student's IEP or 504 plan and as a team determine if the premium version of Google Read&Write is needed or if your student can meet their educational needs using the free version or a universal design options. We had many students that did not use the software yet were given access last school year.
SWAAAC will be asking for periodic data collection from the IEP or 504 case manager regarding Google Read and Write use for the student to have extended use of the software. Case managers need to review Read&Write accommodations in the IEP or 504 every year. Read&Write accommodations MUST be added/or removed in the IEP at an annual or triennial review.
Please see AT and the IEP for more details on how to appropriately word AT in the IEP.
