How to write a Service Accomplishment:
"Closing out" your CLA is a is two-step process: 1. Sign off on hours and 2. Submit Service Accomplishment.
Make sure your CLA has been approved and you have signed off on your hours before following the steps below.
Your Service Accomplishment is an exercise to reflect on your progress regarding the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the semester. Enter one Service Accomplishment for each objective you entered on your CLA.
On BWBRS, click on the Service Accomplishments tab on the left side menu and select Log Service Accomplishments for [Name of your CLA] in the top right drop-down menu.
You should never log select "Log Non-Community Learning Agreement Service Accomplishments".
If the CLA position you seek to write a service accomplishment about does not appear, that means your CLA has not yet been approved by Bonner professional staff.
Choose your General Issue Area, Issue Areas, Population Served, and Objectives in line with the goals you set at the beginning of the semester.
In the Describe the Results box, answer the following questions:
What was my impact?
How do I know the impact?
Why does it matter or why is it important to the organization?
Be brief but descriptive.
Done forget to click Save.
You will be returned to the overview page of your service accomplishments. The Service Accomplishment you just finished should be listed with a status of Draft.
Select your latest entry.
In the dropdown menu at the top, choose “Notify my School Administrator to approve my Service Accomplishments”.
Your status should then change from Draft to Submitted.
Congratulations! You just closed your CLA for the semester.
