We’re off to a strong start this semester! 🎉 Our students successfully completed their first Mock STAAR of the year, and we are so proud of their hard work, focus, and determination. This was a great opportunity to practice, build confidence, and prepare for the months ahead.

Congratulations to our Pawsome Award winners for demonstrating outstanding character, leadership, and effort. We love celebrating students who go above and beyond each day!

Black History Month — Week 3 Highlights

This week, students learned about courageous Black leaders, athletes, and changemakers who helped shape history through bravery, determination, and using their voices to fight for fairness and equality. Each person’s story encourages students to reflect on how their own actions and choices can make a positive impact in their community.

Esta semana, los estudiantes aprendieron sobre líderes, atletas y agentes de cambio afroamericanos valientes que ayudaron a formar la historia a través del coraje, la determinación y el uso de su voz para luchar por la justicia y la igualdad. La historia de cada persona anima a los estudiantes a reflexionar sobre cómo sus propias acciones y decisiones pueden tener un impacto positivo en su comunidad.

🟡 Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman escaped slavery and helped hundreds of people find freedom through the Underground Railroad.

🔴 Ruby Bridges

Ruby Bridges was the first Black child to integrate an all-white elementary school, showing bravery at just six years old.

The 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes have been practicing all month for their spring performance! Bring the whole family to celebrate the students’ talents, enjoy a special guest performance, a DJ, and fun prizes. Filling every seat encourages the performers and makes the night even more special — you won’t want to miss it!

Our BHM Showcase is Friday, Feb 27 — this is also our Spring Concert, featuring group and individual student performances, an art gallery, DJ, surprise giveaways, and a special guest appearance!

It takes courage to stand on stage, and our students have been practicing hard. We want to make sure the spotlight shines brightly as they showcase their talents.

Spring Events Update

This past Saturday’s Dance was such a fun and successful event. We loved seeing our community come together and our kids having a blast!

Since events like this require tremendous planning and volunteer support to run smoothly, we’ve made the tough call not to include Wheelie Fun Night in our Spring calendar of events this year. We’re excited to share that there are still plenty of fun community events planned this Spring! We hope to see everyone at all of the upcoming PTO Spring events!
