The end is near my fellow scholars. This will be my final addition to the Scholars’ Column. To begin, I am sorry for my absence in the past few months; I have had my to-do stack reach new highs. It is still, unfortunately, fairly high, but nevertheless, I thought it would be a good idea to leave you all with one final chunk of knowledge to fund your academic careers. To the right, you will notice the amalgamation of various scholarship search engines to add to your arsenal of knowledge. Flip through to find more free money! On top of that, I will be going over a couple of monthly scholarships to keep you all busy this summer.
The first one up is the Monthly Nitro Scholarship, with prize money of two thousand dollars! It is remarkably easy to apply for but is, unfortunately, only open for seniors. On the bright side, one can apply every single month of their senior year-- as long as they meet the following criteria:
Be a student who is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States
Be a student who is currently enrolled as a high school senior located with the United States
Be a student who has graduated from an accredited undergraduate school and who is currently paying back a loan for their educational expenses
All you need to do to apply is fill out a short form. It is literally that easy! It takes less than two minutes to be thrown in the running for free money.
The Unigo $10K is an annual scholarship due on Dec. 31 of 2022 with a prize of... you guessed it, ten thousand dollars! This application is just a bit longer than the previous one, but still pretty short in comparison to most scholarship applications and thus a great catch! It is simply some information about you and a 250-word essay on a monthly prompt.
More incredible resources include the wonderful people in the GPHS College and Career Center and the upperclassman of Grants Pass High School! This is, unfortunately, the end of this column (unless it happens to be picked up in the future ;) ). I only wish I could have written more and sooner. I will still be around to assist in any manner I can provide. For guidance or questions, I can be reached @abejselvas@hotmail.com.
Once again, remember to use the other form at the bottom of the page to provide some feedback.
