EL Groups September and October

We started the getting to know our peers with Kagan structures being used in all the grade level at Prairieview such as Hand-up-Pair Up, Timed Pair Share, and Round Timed Robin. Students began learning about their peers favorite school subjects and activities along with making connections during our read alouds related to Back to School. We recently wrapped up our Family Unit, students learned about how people help in their family. Also we have been working on using our reading strategies such as eagle eye and lips the fish. Students took home their own reading bag last week that has a bookmark with the reading strategies we will use in Kindergarten to help us read. Please make sure the reading bags return to school daily, our EL groups meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
