Chica Chica Bum

For the first couple weeks of school we have been identifying 2-D shapes and their attributes. Below is our first class picture! After reading the text Chicka Chicka Boom the class helped put together different shapes to make our coconut tree. After the whole group activity students recreated their own coconut tree using squares, rectangles, triangles, and circles. The first graders had the opportunity to write about their picture.

Durante las primeras semanas de la escuela hemos estado identificando figuras planas y sus atributos. ¡Abajo pueden ver nuestra primer foto de la clase!  Después de leer el texto Chica Chica Bum la clase ayudado a armar diferentes figuras para hacer nuestro cocetero. Al final todolos estudiantes crearon su propio cocetero usando cuadrados, rectángulos, triángulos y círculos. Los estudiantes de primer grado tuvieron la oportunidad de escribir sobre su imagen.
