TO-SERVE (Technical Opportunities to Support, EmpoweR, and Value the Community) Project mainly aims to equip unemployed individuals with competency, skill, or knowledge in basic computer operations and servicing to ensure their employment or the establishment of their micro-enterprise.

Cavite State University (CvSU) – Carmona Campus, through the Department of Industrial and Information Technology (DIIT) and its continuing capacity-building initiatives, successfully conducted the second session of TechLINK: Connecting and Communicating in the Digital Age on August 20, 2025. This session focused on strengthening participants’ skills in professional digital communication through effective email use, with the goal of equipping attendees with the knowledge and techniques needed to manage their accounts responsibly and securely in academic, personal, and professional settings.
Serving as moderators, Mr. Antonino Jose L. Bayson and Ms. Jackelyn R. Murallon, faculty extensionists, ensured the smooth facilitation of the session. The program formally opened with welcome remarks from Mr. Alonel A. Hugo, department extension coordinator - alternate, who highlighted the importance of email proficiency as a core digital skill in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
The training proper, which included the pre-test, discussions, and post-test, was facilitated by Dr. Regene G. Hernandez and Mr. Francis C. Callos, faculty extensionists. They delivered comprehensive lessons on creating and setting up an email account, sending, receiving, and managing messages, and handling attachments with ease, while also addressing how to safeguard inboxes through spam filter management. Participants engaged in hands-on activities that allowed them to apply their learning directly, from composing and organizing emails to practicing strategies for identifying and avoiding phishing or spam threats.
In his closing message, Mr. Daryl Lyndon T. Supan, faculty extensionist, congratulated the participants for completing the training and emphasized that mastering digital communication is vital in building efficiency, productivity, and safety online.
The success of this second session was made possible through the collaborative support of DIIT faculty extensionists and student volunteers, including Asst. Prof. Joe Marlou A. Opella, Mr. John Benneth C. Abuan, Dr. Mark Anthony R. Abril, Ms. Janine B. Bacosmo, Jared Jimenez (BSCS), Carl Anthony Barnachea (BSCS), Francis Villela (BSCS), and Jan Eily Bermundo (BSCS).
Through TechLINK, CvSU Carmona continues to pursue its mission of promoting digital empowerment, fostering a community of learners and professionals who are not only skilled in the use of technology but also mindful of practicing responsible and secure digital communication.
