ABOUT THE PROJECT
Basura ko, Ayos ko was a project that disseminated information and know-how on proper waste segregation through seminars and training. It was envisioned to lead to the creation of jobs and a reduction in the consumption of resources since both inorganic and organic waste generated can be recycled and reused.
RECENT ACTIVITES
Online Community Immersion: Environmental Awareness
As NSTP 2 (CWTS component) student-trainees were to undergo community immersion to guarantee high-level success in the conduct of community service, they had a collaboration with the Basura ko, Ayos ko project for the development and dissemination of IEC materials on environmental awareness and waste management.

Seminar-Workshop on Organic Urban Farming

The seminar-workshop dubbed “Organic Urban Farming” had Mr. Chris Harold M. Barlam (LGU-MENRO, representative) and Mr. Edgardo A. Gonzales (CAFENR, faculty) as resource speakers. Mr. Barlam shared his expertise on “Environmental Policies and Ordinances of the Municipality of Carmona” while Mr. Gonzales talked about “Urban Organic Agriculture”. There were 19 faculty and 49 participants (12 males and 37 females) from Brgy. Maduya who attended the seminar-workshop.
The seminar was handled by the DAS faculty members, including Prof. Lea Marissa S. Domingo, Mr. Ron Erik C. Frontuna, Mr. Robert Bayan, Mr. Leonard Paunil, and Prof. Yolanda L. Satiada.
