ABOUT THE PROJECT

Project Kompyuter was a computer literacy program that helped the community become competent in computer operations by providing training in basic and advanced computer operations and in-demand software technologies. The technologies developed on the campus were also later presented to the members of the community to encourage them to pursue careers related to computer science and information technology.

A training on Basic Photo Editing and Graphic Designing was conducted from February 23 to March 17, 2019. A total of 19 out-of-school youths (8 males and 11 females) were trained to identify different tools and functions in photo editing; explain the use of basic tools in photo editing and lay-outing; enhance and edit photos; explain a simple tarpaulin layout; and identify a printable file with appropriate sizes.

The training was handled by the DIIT faculty members, including Dr. Regene G. Hernandez, Mr. Richard L. Hernandez, Mr. Mark Anthony R. Abril, Mr. Jonell V. Ocampo, Mr. Jhumel C. Ignas, Mr. Daryl Lyndon T. Supan, and Ms. Rochelle C. Malabayabas.

Office Productivity Tools Training

The Office Productivity Tools training taught 19 out-of-school youths (3 males and 16 females) in familiarizing MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. DIIT faculty members, including Mr. Jhumel Ignas, Mr. Rendel Edison Sinag, and Mr. Joe Marlou Opella, served as resource speakers/trainers.
