TO-SERVE (Technical Opportunities to Support, EmpoweR, and Value the Community) Project mainly aims to equip unemployed individuals with competency, skill, or knowledge in basic computer operations and servicing to ensure their employment or the establishment of their micro-enterprise.

Cavite State University (CvSU) – Carmona Campus, through the Department of Industrial and Information Technology (DIIT) and its continuing capacity-building initiatives, successfully conducted the first session of TechLINK: Connecting and Communicating in the Digital Age. The training focused on developing participants’ skills in navigating the web and practicing safe online habits, aiming to equip attendees with the knowledge and techniques needed to search for information effectively while maintaining strong online security awareness.
Serving as moderator, Mr. Antonino Jose L. Bayson, faculty extensionist, ensured the smooth flow of activities throughout the session. The event officially opened with Opening remarks from Mr. Alonel A. Hugo, department extension alternate, who emphasized the growing importance of digital literacy in both academic and professional settings.
The core training, which included the pre-test, discussion proper, and post-test, was facilitated by Ms. Minveluz P. Ramirez. She delivered in-depth lessons on the topics: understanding web browsers, conducting web searches and using search engines effectively, and understanding online security basics. Participants engaged in hands-on activities to explore web browsers, apply advanced search techniques, and identify safe online practices to protect personal information.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Jhumel C. Ignas, department extension coordinator, encouraged participants to integrate these learnings into their daily digital activities, underscoring that responsible and effective web usage is an essential skill in today’s interconnected world.
The success of the TechLINK training was made possible through the collaborative efforts of dedicated faculty extensionists and student volunteers, including Mr. John Benneth C. Abuan, Dr. Mark Anthony R. Abril, Mr. Daryl Lyndon T. Supan, Mr. Alonel A. Hugo, Asst. Prof. Rochelle C. Malabayabas, Asst. Prof. Joe Marlou A. Opella, Ms. Janine B. Bacosmo, Dr. Regene G. Through TechLINK, CvSU Carmona continues to advance its mission of promoting digital empowerment, fostering a community that is not only tech-savvy but also security-conscious in navigating the online environment.
