Cavite State University – Carmona Campus, in partnership with the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) of Carmona City, continues to uphold its commitment to inclusive enterprise development through the ongoing training series titled “Empowering Inclusive Enterprises: Quality Assurance Training for the Establishment of a Quality Unit in PDOCCI Fresh Tofu Production” under CvSUCCESS' Project KPKNan.
The July sessions of the training series was held in two parts. On July 1, 2025, participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on key quality assurance concepts and protocols specific to tofu production. This session laid the theoretical foundation necessary for the practical application of QA processes.
Following this, a hands-on demonstration was conducted on July 7, 2025, led by Dr. Joan L. Fortuna and Mr. Klenton R. Torrevillas from the Department of Hospitality Management. During the session, participants were guided through the proper execution of critical procedures including: loose monitoring log, entry compliance audit checklist, and cross-contamination monitoring.
These practical exercises were designed to reinforce the participants' understanding of operational protocols, enhancing their ability to uphold strict standards of safety and hygiene in tofu production. Through this simulation, the PDOCCI Fresh Tofu Production team is now better equipped to ensure product consistency and safeguard consumer health, thereby elevating the overall quality of their operations.
This initiative reflects the University’s unwavering dedication to supporting inclusive enterprises and empowering communities toward sustainable growth through continuous capacity-building efforts.
