Project AKKaP (Akbayan ang Kapwa at Komunidad tungo sa Pag-unlad) aims to equip the community members’ competency, skill, or knowledge in people empowerment, cultural preservation, and environmental education to improve the overall quality of their life, be aware of environmental problems, and practice waste segregation.

Cavite State University – Carmona Campus successfully conducted the fourth installment of “Power Up: Basic Computer Training" on July 17, 2025. The activity, organized by the Department of Arts and Sciences (DAS) aimed to enhance efficiency and productivity through spreadsheet proficiency.
The program began with a prayer, followed by Opening Remarks from Asst. Prof. Shiela Vidallon, department chairperson, who underscored the importance of digital competence in today’s workplace. Asst. Prof. Ron Erik C. Frontuna, department extension coordinator, provided an insightful overview of the training objectives, while Asst. Prof. Robert Jan Bayan, department extension coordinator - alternate, led the recall from previous training segment to reinforce participants’ prior learnings.
To assess participants’ baseline knowledge, Dr. Carlo Emil Mañabo, faculty extensionist, administered the pre-test. The core session on Google Sheet was facilitated by Mr. Joseph E. Cuarez, staff extensionist, who demonstrated practical applications and useful tips for data management.
The training concluded with a post-test, again conducted by Dr. Mañabo, to gauge improvements in skills. Certificates of attendance were distributed to participants in recognition of their active engagement. Asst. Prof. Bayan then delivered the closing remarks, encouraging attendees to apply their newly acquired skills in their daily tasks.
The event was also made successful through the efforts of the unmentioned but dedicated student extensionists, including Andy Balmaceda (BS Information Technology) and Stephanie Grace Pastera (BS Computer Science).
