The second day of Project Kaisa was held on December 12, 2025, at the CvSU–Carmona campus lecture room, continuing the initiative’s advocacy for gender awareness and women empowerment through a focused discussion on gender-based violence and institutional mechanisms for protection and accountability. The program opened with the opening remarks delivered by Asst. Prof. Bayan, who reiterated the objectives of Project Kaisa and emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue and education in addressing gender-related issues.
Prior to the main lecture, a pre-evaluation was administered to assess participants’ existing knowledge and perceptions related to gender-based violence and harassment. The resource speaker, Mr. Leonard V. Paunil, Gender and Development coordinator, was then formally introduced. His lecture on Anti-Violence Against Women and Harassment provided an in-depth discussion of relevant laws, policies, and institutional frameworks designed to protect women from abuse, discrimination, and harassment. He also emphasized the shared responsibility of individuals, institutions, and communities in preventing gender-based violence and promoting gender justice.
An interactive activity followed the lecture, allowing participants to engage in guided discussions and situational analyses that reinforced key concepts from the session. Through these activities, participants gained a deeper understanding of reporting mechanisms, support systems, and proactive strategies for creating safer environments.
The program concluded with the awarding of certificates to recognize participant engagement, followed by a post-evaluation to measure learning outcomes. Closing remarks were delivered by Asst. Prof. Frontuna, who thanked the participants and partners for their continued support and emphasized the importance of translating knowledge gained into advocacy and action within their respective communities.
