Cavite State University (CvSU)–Carmona Campus, through its Extension Services Office, successfully held a campus-wide community outreach initiative titled “One Campus, One Cause, One SPARK: Sharing Positivity and Radiating Kindness” at the Audio-Visual Room on December 17, 2025. The activity gathered students from various academic organizations, faculty members, and staff in a collective effort to extend support and goodwill to the beneficiaries of the campus extension programs through a meaningful gift-giving activity.
The program was spearheaded by Mr. Gelo Q. Gozar, a BS Business Administration student extensionist, and formally opened with a prayer. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Mr. Antonino Jose L. Bayson, extension coordinator of the Department of Management, who expressed his appreciation for the students’ sustained involvement in extension initiatives. In a touching moment, he greeted everyone a Merry Christmas through sign language, emphasizing inclusivity and compassion.
Messages of inspiration and gratitude followed from campus and department leaders. Campus Administrator Dr. Jenny Beb F. Espineli thanked the participants for their enthusiasm and reminded everyone that the Christmas season is a time for gratitude, forgiveness, and love. Asst. Prof. Ron Erik C. Frontuna, Coordinator of the Department of Arts and Sciences, highlighted the strength of unity in spreading hope and assured beneficiaries of the University’s continued support. Mr. Jhumel C. Ignas, Coordinator of the Department of Industrial and Information Technology, expressed appreciation for the beneficiaries’ loyalty and encouraged them to look forward to more extension activities in 2026. Dr. Joan L. Fortuna, Coordinator of the Department of Hospitality Management, described the participants as an inspiration to faculty and partners. Dr. Ronlie RJ A. Espeleta, Coordinator of the Department of Teacher Education, together with Mr. Joseph E. Cuarez from the non-academic staff, conveyed their sincere thanks for the community’s consistent support of campus programs and the Extension Services Office.
Adding to the festive atmosphere were musical performances by student extensionists Ms. Jenelyn B. Espiritu (BS Information Technology) and Mr. Roland Cris F. Quintana (BSBA–Human Resource), which delighted the audience and enriched the celebration.
The highlight of the event was the gift-giving activity for the beneficiaries of the campus extension programs, projects, and activities. The celebration was further energized by raffles and interactive games facilitated by BSBA student extensionists, creating moments of excitement and shared joy. In a parallel activity, a special Christmas party for children was held in Room 210, where student officers from various organizations led games and ensured that each child received a gift.
The program concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Janine B. Bacosmo, Campus Extension Coordinator, who expressed her gratitude to all participants and partners. She also shared plans for more impactful and service-oriented activities in the coming year, reaffirming the campus’ commitment to unity, service, and hope within the community.
