Road to CvSUCCESS: Strategizing for CvSUCCESS Implementation and Community Engagement

Cavite State University (CvSU) - Carmona Campus hosted an all-day event titled "Road to CvSUCCESS: Strategizing for CvSUCCESS Implementation and Community Engagement" via Google Meet and Facebook Livestreaming, May 29. This initiative aimed to foster community empowerment through sustainable services, promoting active participation and effective volunteerism.
The day began with the audio-visual presentation featuring a prayer, the Philippine National Anthem, and the hymns of Cavite and Carmona.
Asst. Prof. Robert Jan R. Bayan, extension coordinator – alternate of the Department of Arts and Sciences (DAS), welcomed attendees with his opening remarks.
The first session, led by Ms. Janine B. Bacosmo, campus extension services coordinator, introduced CvSUCCESS: CvSU Carmona's Community Empowerment through Sustainable Services, the new extension program of the campus. Following this, Asst. Prof. Ron Erik C. Frontuna, extension coordinator of DAS, explored the core of community volunteering, offering insights into its impact and importance.
After a brief health break, Mr. Leonard V. Paunil, faculty extensionist of DAS, discussed fostering meaningful connections with community members. An open forum provided a platform for attendees to engage in discussions and seek clarifications on the topics presented.
After the lunch break, Mr. Antonino Jose L. Bayson, extension coordinator of the Department of Management-Business Administration program, presented innovative and effective approaches to promoting community events and activities. This was followed by Mr. Ronlie RJ A. Espeleta, extension coordinator of the Department of Teacher Education, who spoke on effective assessment methods for community programs and projects.
The final session, led by Mr. Jhumel C. Ignas, extension coordinator of the Department of Industrial and Information Technology, focused on harnessing social media for community engagement. Another open forum allowed participants to discuss and reflect on the day's sessions.
Shortly after, Dr. Cristina M. Signo, campus administrator, delivered a special message emphasizing the significance of all the topics discussed in this activity.
The event concluded with the awarding of certificates, closing remarks from Ms. Bacosmo, and an audio-visual presentation of the CvSU Hymn.
The event saw an incredible turnout, with 2,826 and 2,614 views in the morning and afternoon sessions, respectively. A total of 673 official attendees, weighted by the length of the training, spoke volumes about the engagement and dedication of the community.
