Mr. Alfredo DeLeon

Mr. Alfredo DeLeon is a Collinsville native and graduate of Collinsville High School. Following graduation, Mr. DeLeon attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. 

While at SIUE, he played alto saxophone for the SIUE Wind Symphony for four and a half years, during which he served as principal saxophone for three years. Mr. DeLeon was also a member of the SIUE Saxophone Quartet, playing alto saxophone as well as soprano saxophone. 

Mr. DeLeon continued to work with Collinsville High School while at SIUE as part of the Wind Support Staff team for the Marching Kahoks from 2015 to 2019. He was also a member of the Beginning Band Staff for the O'Fallon District 90 Band Program, and would later student teach at O'Fallon Township High School with Dr. Melissa Gustafson-Hinds.

Prior to returning to Collinsville in 2021, Mr. DeLeon was an Assistant Band Director at Washington High School and Washington Middle School in Washington, Missouri. There he co-taught the Washington High School Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, the Pride of Washington Marching Band, Washington Middle School 7th and 8th grade bands, and was the director of the WHS Pep Band.

Currently, Mr. DeLeon directs the Collinsville High School Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, and Jazz Band.
