Jazz Band

The CHS Jazz Band is audition based group and is made up of 20-22 students each year, and is made up of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, piano, guitar, bass, and drum set. 

The Jazz Band performs 1 concert during the Fall semester and 3 - 4 concerts throughout the Spring semester. The group has played at events such as the Showcase of Excellence Invitational Show Choir and Jazz Band Competition in Quincy, Illinois and the Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival hosted at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois.

The Jazz Band is an active musical group in the community, having made appearances at events like the Empty Bowl fundraiser and other local venues such as the Cedarhurst Senior Living Facility.

The Jazz Band is under the direction of Mr. Alfredo DeLeon.
