Wind Ensemble

The Wind Ensemble is the premiere ensemble of Collinsville High School. It is comprised of approximately 50 students who have attained an exceptionally high level of proficiency on their instruments. Performing the finest available repertoire, the ensemble's performances include traditional wind band literature, classical musical transcriptions as well as modern compositions that are continuing to populate the wind band genre. The Wind Ensemble performs 2 concerts in the fall semester and 3 - 4 spring semester concerts including the Music for All Affiliate Metro East Concert Band Festival hosted by O'Fallon Township High School in O'Fallon, Illinois.

The Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the University of Illinois SuperState Concert Band Festival in 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2022. This group is competitive at a local and state level. Wind Ensemble auditions for the following year take place during each Spring semester. Marching band is a pre-requisite to audition for this ensemble.

The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Mr. Alfredo DeLeon.
