Senior Thesis

The senior thesis is required for all music majors to complete. It is an opportunity for music students to engage in close reading, research, and writing on a musical topic of their choosing. This is an independent study, offered by arrangement with any full-time music faculty.  The senior thesis consists of a structured process leading to a finished academic paper of at least 10 pages. 

1. Read the Senior Thesis Syllabus.  It explains parameters and processes.

2. Determine a topic.

3. Ask a full-time faculty member to supervise you.

4. Complete the Music Registration Form.
