The Honors Recital is a performance that occurs at the end of each semester, showcasing students that performed a superior jury.
The Honors Recital takes place at 5pm on the Monday of Finals Week every semester.
Students that give superior jury performances will be selected to perform in the Honors Recital. Once all the jury performances are complete, the area directors make their recommendations and the full performer list is approved by the full time faculty.
Yes! Attending this recital is a requirement for all students taking applied lessons, and is considered part of their final exam (the initial jury performance being the other). Attendance will be taken, and each student must sign in and out of the recital to receive credit.
All applied lesson professors will be informed of the students that did not attend, and it is up to each faculty member to decide how the missed recital will affect the final grade.
