ReconX hopes to continue bringing in a variety of speakers to give students a wider perspective of the opportunities for their futures.
ReconX’s Mentorship program was created to foster community among the research students at High Technology High School. Although most students begin their research journey with Research Practicum’s independent research project, in most other cases, research involves teamwork. The Mentorship program paired underclassmen with an upperclassmen mentor with research experience in a shared area of interest. The mentors supported their mentees as they conducted their research and prepared for research competitions,. The pairs met with each other twice a month to work together on projects. Despite online learning conditions, there were 12 mentor/mentee pairings this year that met over 3 months. In the future, ReconX hopes to continue passing down the passion for research through the mentorship program.
Members of ReconX participated in virtual research competitions this past year. Visit the Research Competition Pages to see all of our recent participants and results.
