You will need to evaluate your candidate through S4 at the end of the semester using two evaluation tools: an Overall Candidate Evaluation Tool and a Professional Dispositions Evaluation Tool.
For more information about our Overall Candidate Evaluation Tool, please use our support website.
These end-of-semester evaluations must be completed by the last day of instruction at CSUMB for the term.
Clinical Coaches use S4 to log periodic candidate observations and formal candidate observations. Observation logs should always include feedback and goals related to the California Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs). This is a CTC requirement.
Observations may include in-person observations and synchronous/asynchronous video observations. All coaching observations (periodic and formal) must be archived in S4.
Coaches are also required to complete the Overall Candidate Evaluation and Professional Dispositions Evaluation in S4 for their candidates at the end of the semester. These end-of-semester evaluations must be completed by the final day for grade submission for the term.
