What we would consider being "humans" Valorians are a race of highly adaptive, rapidly breeding, and short-lived humanoids. Much like real world humans, they come in a myriad variety of "real world" colorations, heights, and weights. They live roughly 90-100 years. As a people, they value tenacity and cleverness above all else. Having long ago defeated all threats and rivals, they can be a tad overconfident. They are fascinated by magic, and continue to explore the many possibilities it opens up, heedless of the dangers. They are a religious people, willing to explore new religions and Gods as they are discovered. Their primary Deity is Erathis, Goddess of Civilization.
Long ago, over 1500 years, in fact, the Valorians rose up against a great evil, eradicating it, and claiming the world as their own. They established a holy kingdom and after eradicating the native orcs, they spread like wildfire. Years later, the small continent of Valoria conquered and developed, and now, over-developed by the Valorian people resources became scarce and overpopulation was triggering internal strife and civil war. Turning to their patron Goddess Erathis for guidance, the Valorians received visions of another land, far across the vast oceans veiled in mist. They chopped down the last forest on the continent and made 20 huge ships, and thousands of Valorians, many former prisoners, and slaves, set sail for a new world. A few years later, the sparse remnants of those left behind came to join their fellow Valorians in the new world.

In general, their patron deity is Erathis, Goddess of Civilization. Most clerics and paladins serve her faithfully. But, Valorians are a surprising race and will often worship whatever entity catches or serves their interests.
Valorians are the most adaptable of any known race and as such have the potential to fill any role well. Though there are classes they seem to favor other others. Sorcerer has become a favorite as more and more Valorians begin to awaken innate magical powers as a result of prolonged exposure to the new lands. Bards, Clerics, and Paladins are also in demand as the ability to heal and support your allies is always sought after.
Valorians are always looking for opportunities to expand and grow.
