Races

Important

Races do not provide stat bonuses or penalties. Instead add +2 to one stat, +1 to a second stat, and -1 to a third stat after performing point buy. Valorians can instead choose to add +1 to all six stats.

The Races of New Valoria

New Valoria is composed of many different races who have all come together to survive and thrive in the world of Paradise Vale. Regardless of race, all starting characters in Paradise Vale may select 1 feat, because of this, Variant Humans (PHB) are not a playable race in PV.

Valorians - indomitable survivors

Kobolds - capable & adaptive minions

Mousekin - delicious & daring

Woke Apes - the chosen people of Spriggs

Allied Races

These are races who, in small number perhaps, are allied with New Valoria and can be used to make playable characters. Keep in mind these character's loyalties will usually be to their respective homelands first and foremost. Also keep in mind, allied races are friendly to New Valoria, but not always to each other.

Dunduren - dour & determined, fueled by grudges

Fa'Veld - skalds of elvish & orcish heritage
