Film II: The Heroic Journey ½ Credit

Grades 9–12

Join the class where Captain America, Iron Man and The Hulk intermingle with Superman, Batman and the Green Lantern. Have you ever wondered what makes a hero achieve greatness? If so, then this is the course for you! Throughout the semester we will observe a variety of films, discuss our observations and ideas and create projects that highlight the journey of a hero. Together we will explore why the hero is sometimes considered a social outcast and why they initially deny their super powers when their super powers can be a means to reach prominence.
