Substitute Teacher Training

To attend substitute teacher training, applicants must seek approval first from the local school system in which they plan to work. The school system will provide applicants a signed Approval Form which must be given to the instructor on the day of the training.

Workshop time is 9:00-12:00 at all locations (VCS Teaching and Learning Center, Lowndes County School District and the Coastal Plains RESA Office). Trainings at the VCS and Coastal Plains RESA locations may include participants registered from other CPRESA school districts (Ben-Hill, Berrien, Cook, Irwin and Turner) The Lowndes County School District location is for participants registered with the Lowndes County School District only.


To attend and receive credit for training:

1. You must present to the instructor a completed, signed Approval Form.

2. You must have the $25.00 registration fee (EXACT CASH ONLY).

3. You must be present for the entire 3 hours. Don’t arrive late/ Don’t leave early.

4. Bring a pencil or pen.

5. VCS Teaching and Learning Training Center attendees must display a parking pass. Districts will provide the parking pass with the Approval Form

6. You must wear a face covering (mask) at all locations.

COST: $25

· Registrants outside of CPRESA should email erinstephens@cpresa.org for approval.

*Valdosta City Schools Teaching and Learning Training Center is located in the old S.L. Mason School at 1605 Azalea Drive, Valdosta. Participants must post a parking pass on the dash board. Lowndes County School District 1592 Norman Drive, Valdosta.
