The Tift County Learning Center operates an afterschool and summer program in Tift County. The afterschool program will serve kids in 1st through 6th grade and the summer program serves kids in 1st through 5th grade. Student selection is based on a first-come, first-served basis. To be considered for placement, we must have a completed application with all necessary supporting documentation. An acceptance letter will be sent home before the child can begin in the program.
The summer program will operate from June 4th until June 29th from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Fridays are set aside as field trip days and will run from 8:00 a.m. – until. A detailed schedule will be sent home the first week of the program to include a more definite time. Breakfast, lunch, and a nutritional snack will be offered daily. The program, field trips, and transportation is provided free of charge.
Student Eligibility Requirements for Summer:
ü Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal immigrant (must bring Social Security Card)
ü Must be a Georgia Resident
ü Must be in 1st through 5th grade (2017-2018)
Must be eligible for the following:
TANF
Food Stamps
Medicaid/Peachcare/Wellcare
Social Security Income (SSI)
or
Proof of Income (current paycheck stub of parent(s)/guardian(s) for one month)

Proof of services must come from the Georgia Gateway website and must have a eligibility date of May 2018 or later.
To register, fill out the Tift County Student Registration Form as well as the Afterschool Care Program Eligibility Form. Both forms need to be completed in its entirety! Incomplete application forms will not be reviewed. Send the completed forms, along with a copy of the child's social security card and proof of eligibility to the information below.
