Functional Math

Applied and functional math focuses on the real-world skills students need to navigate everyday life with confidence and independence. Rather than abstract calculations, students work on practical problem-solving: managing money and budgets, telling time and reading schedules, measuring for cooking or projects, understanding bills and receipts, and making informed purchasing decisions. The goal is to build mathematical competence that directly supports students' current and future independence—whether that's grocery shopping, planning transportation, managing a bank account, or succeeding in a job. Every lesson connects to situations students will encounter in their daily lives, making math meaningful, accessible, and empowering.

Tuesday- Time

Wednesday - Place Value

Thursday - Assessment

Friday - Word Problems
